The drinks industry is under pressure to reduce its carbon footprint, currently measured in tens of millions of metric tonnes of CO2. We believe that a switch to a circular economy model, could reduce drinks industry emissions by half before 2030.

That means rethinking packaging, transport and energy and even agriculture. Despite the heroic efforts of some elements of the drinks industry in the past decades, the emissions are still a major contributor to the industrial climate transformation of the packaged goods sector.

We intend our initiative to spark a many lively debates and lead to multiple circular solutions not yet imagined.

Circularity is not just about emissions, but about impact on the planet and biodiversity. Our supporters come from the drinks industry, from supply chain and also from NGOs and campaigns focused on environmental protection.
